Caught short in Bath! Nowhere to park and getting more anxious with all the newly instigated one way systems. Extremely helpful, friendly clientele. Efficient one way system in place. Can't comment on the beer or accommodation at this time. If we needed to stop over in Bath we would definitely consider.

Proper pub. Good locals. Staff that know their bar and customers. I am not the usual person that drinks here, as someone that visits Bath and I do not live in the area. I have walked past here many times and headed for the pubs in the centre. I decided I should give it a shot and definitely will be back. Beer is well served and looked after. Anyone that likes a good pint will understand. I worked bars for 10 years and know they are doing a good job. After just a couple of pints ended up having a good friendly chat with a few and the bar staff. As a proper pub should be. If you want to know what a British pub is like head here.

Very friendly place, full of local characters. inviting if a little bit ragged around the edges, its a welcome change from all the other "gastro" pubs. place might look a bit grubby but there's not many pubs that haven't sold their sole

Traditional pub 25 mins walk from Bath centre. Although not modern very friendly clean and comfortable place to stay for Bath attractions. Penny the landlady couldn't have been more helpful, very laid back lovely lady. Breakfast is taken in your room, there's a table for two laid out with cereals tea coffee etc and a fridge in the room with milk. You can also use this fridge to store any extras you fancy for breakfast. All in all brilliant experience. Number 4 bus is right outside and takes 5 mins to get into central Bath. Worth a look if you don't want to pay through the nose to stay central.

Great place to stay and excellent value room especially considering how expensive central Bath is. Hostess was a charm. Being a bit further out was not too inconvenient and although we mostly walked it into town (and taxied once) we did get passed by buses. The pub is a local boozer and if you are staying here I'd recommend coming down, sitting at the bar and getting to know some of them!
