First I was intrigued by the cold beers. Then came the cask ales. But the pickled eggs. Now, the pickled eggs. They left me positively chubbed up.
Popular pub with great atmosphere, right in the heart of Bath city centre. Called in twice during our visit to the Christmas market and I'm sure this pub will become part of our annual tradition in future.
The best pub in Bath by a country mile! A really good vibe, clean, lovely decor and good selection of drinks. Staff are all fab, will definitely be going back

When I'm at a pub I want it to be 2 things. Simple, straight up and honest. This is the pub where I Imagen famous writers to come from. Classic and authentic English pub. And by that I mean no food, only drinks - in fact they welcome you bringing your own food. Full bar and tap list. Inside is nothing fancy, but there are several cozy little tables and a nook in the back. One young woman was running the whole shop and she was friendly while also being incredibly efficient and kept everybody happy and served. A great spot for a pause and a drink or two.
