The Ashcott serves delicious lunches and dinners in the comfortable surroundings of the beautiful restaurant or in the colourful grounds of the lush gardens.
Dave cooks up a storm in the kitchen with a selection of local meat, fish and vegetables combined with flavours that will knock your socks off while Amber pours you a glass of wine to match your meal or perhaps one of our well kept ales or choose from our extensive soft drink selection.
Daily specials are provided with lighter lunchtime options and more indulgent options for evenings.
Had a meal there last night very nice food and nice cosy atmosphere with helpful staff.
Recently visiting twice for family Sunday Roast and Saturday Lunch, stunning and well kept gardens for outside dining, lovely indoor setting for a better than Pub comfortable setting, a lovely well maintained dining experience. Food fresh, local and can cater for food intolerance, owners on premises to make sure your best experience and welcome, staff really attentive, nothing too much trouble. Best pub food in the area and not to be missed, will keep returning. The venue has lots to offer, first class attention from the minute you arrive.
Great pub, with great food and service to match, nothing is too much trouble and Craig and Faye will make you feel most welcome. The food is amazing and has a twist on classic pub grub and the roast dinners are fab, plus there the pub is very dog friendly and even has a doggy menu! Loads of parking and large beer garden, good selection of beers and soft drinks, Make time for a visit you won't be disappointed!
Lovely food, beautifully presented. Only downside was the service. When our dessert was served 3 spoons were plonked down on the table not even given out. Would still go back there though. Very dog friendly
We booked at short notice for a Sunday lunch. Everything from the initial phone call to the food was amazing. We were seated near to the restaurant bar and it was a pleasure to watch the team working together. There was a great new member of staff working hard and being supported by his peers. A good working atmosphere goes a long way to a positive dining experience. The food was wonderful, well presented and beautifully cooked and after our 3 course lunch we could not have been happier. I would recommend booking as this was a busy setting. Dog menu is a fantastic idea with special seating areas but you would not feel isolated. We will be back and our own dog may get to sample the sausage, veg & gravy!

Situated off the A39 by its intersection with the A361 from Taunton. The pub comprises two buildings of contrasting architectural design – the earlier inn is said to date from the 1600s and a larger structure added later.
