Went there a few times for food and drinks, and I'm underwhelmed, to say the least. Let me elaborate: The place looks really inviting, its well maintained, has a big parking where there's always space. Inside, you have little areas, and that makes it more intimate and cosy. There's at least one fireplace, and they have a massive garden section for summer months. The service, however, is really bad. Really really bad. Every time I was dining there, I could have easily walked out without paying, even though there were 10 staff members on the floor. I had to queue to pay for my food and drinks. After you finish eating and sit there for 20 minutes, even a subtle hint like putting your jackets on wouldn't tip them off. You just gotta queue at the bar with people ordering 29 pints before you GET to pay. Now to the most important part: the food. We had starters, and they were both very tasty. The goat cheese filo tart and the hand stretched rosemary and camembert bread(probably my favourite thing I tried there). We had their pizza, and it did not live up to the adjective "neapolitan" as advertised in the menu. The dough on the bottom was soggy. I'm pretty sure the cheese on top and flour in the dough of the pizza didn't even come from the Italian section in a supermarket, not to mention Italy. In a nutshell, pizza was edible but average. Fish and chips was bathed in oil. Soaked with tons of oil. Was so greasy we couldn't finish. That's a real shame because a good fish and chips is something one would expect in a Yorkshire food joint. Smoked haddock from the specials board was really nice and the potato it was served with was spot on spinach was stringy and not worth mentioning, but that one dish was very nice. The sauce complimented the fish perfectly. I also decided to go for their surf and turf because I love steak and I love the seafood. The prawns were cooked to perfection in garlic butter, soft and juicy. The chips were just the frozen ones you get at a hot dog stand at a festival. They have hand cut chips on the menu, but for some reason, for their most expensive plate in the carte, they decided to pair the fine cut of beef and King prawns with that. I guess my bad for not clarifying with additional questions and assuming logic. This brings us to the steak itself. A grand 10oz sirloin. I was excited for it, but boy, did I get disappointed. I come from a house where wasting food was not allowed, and I stick to this rule if I can. This time, though, I was close to returning the plate. I ordered it medium rare, and the steak came barely pink. Medium well for my taste. Maybe the server misheard me. I'm not sure, but I ended up paying a hefty bill for a steak that wasn't cooked the way I wanted. Even though I can tell the meat was good quality, It had a nice char on it and tasted good, the experience was ruined and left a bad taste in my mouth, so to speak. I dont think I can recommend the place. And what a letdown as I had high hopes . I'm posting the picture of the steak so everyone can see how 'medium rare' looks. I have faith this place can be more than it is as it clearly aspires to, but several changes in terms of service and the kitchen have to be made. I'm happy to consult and share experiences if the management decides to reach out.

Food was really good, specials menu was quite large and options were good. Service was good too, only criticism is that after we'd finished eating it took someone quite an exceptionally long time to come and clear the plates and give us the bill. Otherwise a really good lunch and well priced too.

We called for Sunday lunch. Pleasant and friendly staff. We weren’t a fan of the seasonal vegetables.

How beautiful is this food!!! It was cooked to absolute perfection and it was so reasonably priced for the quality and presentation. We sat in the beer garden with our dog and it was a great spot! It's been so well thought out for customers. The staff were very attentive and service was excellent as always.
