Had a two night stay at The Brander Lodge Hotel for a change when we had some family visiting from the minute we arrived to the minute we left we enjoyed everything. The food was delicious 4 out of 6 of us opted for the steak pie which I can say is one of the best steak pies I have ever tasted in my life. Compliments to the Chef. Breakfast time there was a fantastic buffet breakfast on offer with everything you could need to set you up for the day including lovely coffee and tea! The hotel in general is in a wonderful location and is a great place to stop for a meal or a night or a few nights stay. Loch Awe is right on the doorstep if you are interested in fishing and lots of mountains for those who love to do a bit of hiking! Highly Recommended. Thank you to Team Brander for a fantastic stay. We stayed here under very difficult circumstances due to closed roads and challenging weather causing the disruption people in the area had never witnessed before. The Manager and staff were amazing even though they had their own difficulties nothing was too much trouble! We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel services. The rooms were comfortable and clean but a little shabby.
We have just returned from 2 magical nights at the hotel. Beautiful location in Taynuilt Argyll. Room was perfect with a door on to a patio area. An amazing shower, perfect for the older generation x Breakfast was excellent with a great selection. Dinner was equally good. Compliments to the chef. All the staff were pleasant and helpful, in particular Martin . We look forward to a return visit. Thank you all.
Great room, modern, large, clean garden views, great setting with garden down to the banks of the river in the historic pass of Brander, great public rooms and excellent bar. Food was also very good and dinner ( not included) was inexpensive. It seemed to me the new owners were great and working hard to get everything up to a high standard. There is still some work to be done in some areas (eg outside garden and garden furniture, some outside walls needed TLC) but I thought it was an excellent package for the price. I would definitely go back again and I recommend it.
Enjoyed a night stay here. Refurbishment seems ongoing. The food was good. I could see it was a wonderful place for weddings. Very tranquil atmosphere.
