Fantastic staff. Very quick turnaround for food and it was cooked very nicely. The chicken wings were perfect. Very spacious and plenty of choice for places to sit.

Did not stay here so nothing known about the rooms. Food was good basic grub and beer at a reasonable price. A pint of Doombar was £3.99 which is not bargain basement but cheaper than many other places. Staff were good if a little busy.

Excellent location looking out over the harbour. The pub is a typical Spoon's, well stocked, good food, great prices. The staff are friendly and helpful too!

Easy to find, parking over the road, and a longer stay permit can be purchased at the tourist information in the car park. Staff friendly, check-in was easy, and the receptionist was really friendly and helpful. The room (317)was a little tricky to find, but using common sense, we located it and was surprised when we walked in the room. Cosy yet still spacious, two windows, one with a view of the harbour, the other over towards the shops however no noise from the road, didn't hear anything at night time from guests except the odd door banging later at night In the room, good tray of tea, coffee hot chocolate and even biscuits and water good selection. The bathroom was with a walk-in shower of which I requested prior to arrival. Restaurant, it was easy to order on the app, and service is not a problem at all. Central Hotel, good amenities and location brilliant for the seaside and restaurants. Knowing that some of the building is old and the building is grade II , the floor felt like we were moving and not level at all. Quirky, but it took some time to adjust, The lift was slow but wasn't a problem. Pillows were hit and miss, too soft or too hard. Duvet could have been bigger for the bed. With all that said, we will be returning again.

I phoned the hotel to book and the reception staff could not have been more helpful (and patient whilst I explained what I needed). The last 2 rooms for our planned night’s stay were available and I booked, but they weren’t together so I was hopeful it would work out for our elderly mum. Less than an hour later, I got a call to say we had 2 interconnecting rooms because in the meantime they had juggled the rooms so that our mum was next to us. Absolutely priceless service. Several nights later, we arrived. The reception staff were so friendly and lovely, with a great sense of humour too! The rooms were elegant and spotless and there were bottles of water and tea/coffee facilities with biscuits. The hotel is ideally situated and wheelchair accessible (with a lift). For a surprise trip, it was a resounding success!
