I visited for the "all you can eat breakfast" Lots of choice and food was ok, but as with all buffet style food, it could have been hotter.... Couldn't get a normal black coffee from the machine (not available on the menu) which was a pain, but there were other alternatives and lots of juices. There's lots of parking and as it's on a retail park area, lots of other shops to visit too If only the food was hotter....such a shame!!!!

Lovely food, great service and a really good value for money. Thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit here on New Year's Day. Bluelight card also accepted. Would highly recommend

Well done to The Anchor for spoiling what was meant to be a lovely night with friends. I made the mistake of asking for a side dish of King prawns to go with my steak. This was obviously a request too far and caused the kitchen to have a melt down and give my king prawns to someone else. So after waiting 10 minutes for more king prawns to be cooked and my steak getting colder and colder I sent my steak back to be put under a heater, tick tock everyone had finished their mains before the said steak returned, so sent back and told them to cancel it. Won't be returning. So ended up at morrisons with some ritz crackers, quiche, ham and walkers sensations crisps.

Arrived at 1040am, not knowing that breakfast was soon to finish. Was advised that they stopped service at 11am. Plenty of time to sit down, eat a plate of food and go back for a few extras. Food was very scarce, however there was just enough for us all to have a satisfactory breakfast. 10:58 lights were being turned off, food being removed and scathing looks from all members of staff as our party of 5 were sat down enjoying what we could from the meal. We spent close to £50 between the 5 of us and any decent manager/waiter would have advised us that maybe it would be best to go else where. At 11:05 we were asked to leave. So they could get set up for the next service. The Beefeater brand needs to reconsider their food service times. You wouldn’t let someone into a museum 20 minutes before being expected them to leave. (Edited: after reviewing I actually looked at the opening times, 10:30 is end of breakfast service. I find it hard to understand why a group of 5 was let in to spend their hard earned money, only to be thrown out 25 mins later!!!! Would expect a full refund) Will not be returning.

Great location! Found right next door to a premier inn, nestled between a retail park and residential area. Easy to find and plenty of parking, it seems very popular with trades people staying here too.. The outside could do with a bit of love, but the inside was lively, newly refurbished. We booked ahead, which was ideal as it's obviously popular and always busy here. The first table had a dirty seat, so we moved straight away. Service was hit and miss, friendly but not very attentive from all members. We had long waits between courses or sat with finished plates and no drinks prompt throughout or dessert offered. The food itself was good value, unfortunately my chips were cold and if you didn't have coleslaw like my mum then no peas or salad garnish was offered in it's place. We much prefer being served at the table, instead of having to go up to order anything like some other restaurants.
