We only used the pub, but what wonderful people! It felt like we had always drank there. Lovely landlord. Well done. Xxx
Stayed here for 2 nights, rooms were clean and staff were all friendly. Spoke to Chris multiple times over the phone prior to booking and he was beyond helpful.
The mattress on the bed was very well used and needed replacing, The pillows and bedding was well used also and didn’t smell to good. The room was very cold and we couldn’t turn the heating on. We ate in the bar on Saturday night, there was a young girl in the bar who was quite loud and used a lot of bad language, so not a pleasant atmosphere, the bar was also freezing. We stayed on a Saturday night and there was loud music playing till 1am. We didn’t complain as we only stayed overnight and left early the following morning. They charged £13.50 for breakfast which didn’t seem worth the money.
Two of us visited and stayed during a motorcycle tour. We found it welcoming and everyone, the staff and locals were great company. The beer was good and the chef created lovely food, breakfast was my favourite. Chris the Bar manager was the perfect host. We enjoyed our stay.
