This used to be a very large contemporary estate pub, it has been divided into two sections, a pub end, and a Chinese Restaurant. In between is the sizable lounge bar. Now a quiet, family friendly community pub, with outside drinking & smoking areas, separate bar & lounge, disabled access, free WiFi, on bus route. Run in conjunction with Chinese restaurant. No longer keeps real ale.
We stopped off for a drink on a disastrous journey North (blocked A1 etc). The staff and customers were really friendly and the loos were really clean. It was a highlight of a nine hour car journey. Thank you!
Had my daughters 21st party there. The room was outstanding, the staff were great. I would definitely recommend it to other people. The only problem we had was the DJ we did our own playlist for him but he was just playing his own, kept asking him to play ours which he did then went back to his music. A big thank you for the perfect room and lovely staff
Good choice of beer. Friendly staff and customers. Sunday dinner was really really nice. Just a shame they got rid of the park they use to have in the back.

Bit of a que but we'll worth the wait, lots of veg to choose from and 3 meats, cooked to perfection.
