Totally crammed as many people in as they could on Christmas Day. Very poor bar and waiter service for the number of people that needed serving. Packed together with no room to move between tables making it very difficult gor getting around. Service between courses was so slow and poor, having to wait over 1hour for desserts that we chased up three times with different staff members. We were also told when we asked for coffe to be served that they would ask, but the bar staff were overwhelmed with drink requests and might not be able to service us our coffee, which was included in the price. Food from the carvery was very good, but the two people in our group did not get their steaks till after we had all finished our main meals. Won't be going there again in a hurry as their usual standards we not even met half way, what a let down. Think about the quality of service Cookhouse and not just making a gready profit on the most important meal of the year for families.
Jess was a wonderful host from the start, so attentive and so friendly - you’re amazing(Jess)! Christian was also very thoughtful with the food and super friendly! The manager Marius was really attentive and checked to see if everything was good with our visit. Overall - 10/10 would visit again for bottomless brunch xxx

We have lunch with a group of friends at this pub on Sunday afternoon. We order traditional British pub food like fish and chips, carvery, sausage with potato mash, stout and bitter, etc.. The food quality is apparently better than chain pub brands. Besides, the staff are nice and helpful too. Of course, it is also reflected in slightly higher prices of food and drink. You can apply for a membership which offers a 20% discount. Highly recommended;
Popped in for the first time yesterday, so only had a drink with my cousin, but we are going back for a meal next week. The place is clean and spacious with a really friendly atmosphere. The young ladies who served us, Kelsey and Louise were so pleasant and helpful, smiles to greet us, and genuinely seemed pleased to see us. We're looking forward to trying the food, as the choices on the menu look delicious.
