This pub is across from the now closed Moor Lane bus station. Despite the adornments of Irish flags, it is far from a theme pub. Two hand pumps dispense a range of ales, some of which are rarely seen in the area. These are generally well kept and it is usually worth popping in to see what is on the bar. A comfortable seating area is overseen by an enormous aerial photograph of Bolton from an unspecified date. You can tick off various landmarks before heading off into town. On the other side of the pub is a perennially popular pool table and there are often bands playing at the weekend. At the front is a small seating/smoking area. Free wifi is another attraction.
