Here at the Admiral Hood Kath Kersley and her team pride themselves on their freshly prepared food. Having recently acquired the pub, she brings with her self trained, family members Hannah and Naomi. Kath renowned locally for her enticing deserts and magnificent celebration cakes, has been in the catering business for over 20 years. Her love of food and all things local are reflected in her menu’s daily. Supporting local businesses and farmers, wherever possible, Kath brings the seasonal touch to pub dining. Country pub dining in West Dorset doesn’t get much better than this.
We are a traditional pub with 3 real ales and a local cider on tap. Ales include, Trelawny and London Pride, plus one guest ale. Thatchers provide us with a range of ciders including Thatchers Gold. We sell wine by the glass or by the bottle. Currently we stock 3 x house reds, 4 x whites, 1 x rose and 1 x Prosecco.
Excellent food! Good portion sizes and not over priced. The staff were pleasant enough and helpful.
Haven't been here for a while until today happily say nothing has changed still as good as ever. Chicken curry with half rice half chips. Proper pub food how it should be done.
Great food choices as well as main menu. Always enjoy our meals at The Admiral Hood.
Lovely locals pub, friendly staff and customers. Food was incredibly good,and the desserts were fabulous. Great portions, smiles all round. Absolutely lovely atmosphere too
Was out on a drive about mystery tour, and we happened to come to this lovely place so welcoming nothing was too much trouble and then the food came out and this place just got better and better!! We arrived a little late was offered dessert and coffee etc but felt we would be holding them up if we had this so just stuck to the main meal which was enough to be fair but will definitely go here again to sample the other half of the menu.
