Very friendly staff and friendly locals. Enjoyed playing pool against the locals, even though I lost most of the games.
Stopped in for a pint, stayed for too many pints, brett was a great host.
Cosy wee pub and really nice bar staff. Went along with some friends for a music session and to listen to some excellent music and songs provided by some great singers and musicians. The pub filled up really quick and the room with the huge pool table was not being used, hence the front of the pub was packed and became a bit of a health and safety issue. It was quite a challenge to make my way to the toilet. Also the noise from the people visiting the bar/pub, not being interested in the musical contributions was way beyond any other pub noise levels, completely drowning out any songs and music. This was really disappointing for music lovers like me. Hence not sure whether this pub is a good venue for music sessions, unless some improvements are made. Great pub to meet friends, have a drink and a banter, though.
Cosy little Cruden Bay pub, where my friend and i attended an inaugural music jam session at 9pm. It was obvious that local clientele were not much interested in listening to some very good musicians The noise level of the pub hubub was way below acceptable. Probably just needs time to settle down. Session was mainly acoustic, so some light amplification is required to rise above the tower of Babel.😱
Bret was a great host as we sat at the bar while we had a few pints and drama of whisky! Good drinks with great conversation.
