The DJ on Boxing Day (bald man with with a beard) was swearing he called my parter fat and my brother a nobhead on the microphone, we had not said anything to provoke him we was dancing and taking videos like in any other bar, I was grabbed by the bouncers and forced to delete the videos of the DJ swearing at us we was not thrown out because we was not causing any bother but we left after we got asked to leave politely. the DJ was looking at us smug like he had won some sort of argument there was plenty of people around that kept looking in disgust at the Dj for his actions, won’t be going here again very poor experience.
The pub boasts an interesting atmosphere with nice decor, and the staff were notably friendly. However, there was a noticeable lack of seating, which affected the overall comfort of the experience. The drink choices at Union Bank were decent, offering a variety of beers on tap and a diverse selection of bottled options. The prices were fair, contributing to a positive aspect of the visit. One drawback was that the upstairs area was blocked off during our visit, limiting the available seating to the downstairs area. Unfortunately, most of the seats were occupied, making it a challenge to find an available spot to sit. In conclusion, Union Bank is an interesting pub with friendly staff and a fair selection of drinks. While the lack of seating, especially when the upstairs area is unavailable, impacted the overall experience, the positive aspects, including decor and drink choices, warrant another visit.
Very good place to have enjoyable drink. The staff, drinks and music are fantastic. Very clean toilets. I will highly recommend this place. Six of us came for a drink and ended up having three drinks. Keep up the good work. Well done.
Great spot. Staff poured an amazing pint if Guiness that would impress any irish man away. Food was brilliant. Would cone back
Pint of Neck oil and a double gin £18.90 it is worth noting my partner asked the waitress twice if the price was correct which was belligerently dismissed on both occasions, upon getting to our seats we did a small calculation (on the public houses own app), my partner returned to bar challenged and returned with £7 having been told we had been charged for 2 pints of lemonade we hadn't had (back to the app 2 pints of lemonade wasn't £7 either), overall very poor service. .
