Excellent Sunday lunch with equally excellent service, not the cheapest but the food quality speaks for itself. Our first visit last week and won't be our last 👌
Our second visit to this great pub/restaurant! If you're coming here for the first time, there's a couple of important things you need to know: 1. On arrival, make sure your enter your car registeration number into the computer pad on the wall at the end of the bar, otherwise you may end up with a parking charge. 2. Watch out for the low beams! Remember, it's an old building so be aware of the low doorways and the uneven floors. Food here is just simply exemplary and beautifully presented, I really enjoyed the "BH Waldorf" which is a creative twist on a Waldorf salad (I think!) Staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. There is a car park but I wonder if the the spaces are of minimal width as I think if you have a larger car you may find it difficult to get out of it, especially if someone parks too close to the white line. This is a very popular venue with a warm, friendly atmosphere so I definitely would recommend you book in advance to secure your table! I think I would like to see a few more cocktails on the drinks menu, but that aside, looking forward to a return visit in the not-too-distant future!

We popped in last minute for a Sunday lunch, and ate in the bar area. Starters and mains were quick, but once they got busy, service quality dropped drastically, and we felt forgotten about, with bit of a wait on deserts. One of our mains missed a Yorkshire pud, but otherwise food was superb. Just hoped for more consistency with the service (seemed to fall apart under pressure).
Lovely Sunday Roast. Booked online for 2 people for Sunday lunch. Really friendly service from staff. Food was really well cooked and extremely tasty. Excellent roast potatoes and parsnips. Cheesecake was a perfect ending to the meal, very tasty and filling, the salted caramel sauce was great. Clean, has good toilets and car park at rear of the building. Definitely will be going back.
