Always perfect as it should be. Bit tatty but a refurb would spoil it in my opinion. Always an interesting array of fine ales and beer mats! Great staff.
A good old-fashioned pub with a decent amount of cask ales to choose from. There are plenty of TVs showing live sports. It has outdoor seating at the back which gets the sun all day. Staff are friendly and service is always quick.
Been a frequent visitor for the last 20 years, service is always excellent with a lot of staff knowing their customers by name, love the chicken curry and chips!!!! (Update: Downside my most recent visit the fryers weren't working, but the jacket I had was still really nice!)
My favourite pub in the city. Unique and out on its own. Great ales, great food.
Loved this place. Great looking pub, with an olde world feel. Good beer selection and a very knowledgeable and friendly Manager. Will definitely be returning here next time I'm in Sunderland. Also thank you very much for the pump clips you gave me, very much appreciated. If I could give six 🌟, I would. Favourite place in Sunderland.
