Popped in without booking Weds early evening, friendly welcome, relaxed atmosphere and enjoyed a couple of Madri's. We picked up a menu and ordered scampi and chips and the intriguing Chicken Bao Buns with salt and pepper fries. I have to say The Beehive triple fried chips are "bangin" you won't find better. Therefore a simple Scampi dish is elevated to something more. The bao buns were good, the chicken was crispy and sticky, buns soft and the slaw complemented. Enhancing the Triple chips with spicy, sticky glaze took the already excellent to the sublime. Gotta say, bloomin marvellous, a Weds evening was upgraded to something fantastic. The staff are always friendly attentive and humorous. Keep it up Beehive, loving it!
We were invited to this pub to celebrate an upcoming birthday. We had heard good things about it and we were not disappointed. The service was great, as was the food. Pleased we didn't get a starter as the mains were huge. We waited a little while for our food, not too long but they were extremely busy so it was acceptable. The proprietor, Jim, was very attentive to all of his diners and ensured that everyone was served efficiently. The staff were friendly. It was refreshing going to a proper pub serving proper grub at reasonable prices and with friendly staff. Jim has got it spot on 👍
Amazing food, huge portions, friendly and speedy service, reasonable prices and a lovely pint. What more could you ask for?! Can't wait to come back and try something else on the amazing menu
Absolutely fantastic place to eat and drink. The owners have put a lot of time, effort and money in to this place recently and it has paid off. Looking forward to spending afternoons in the beer garden when its finished. The cheese and wine platter is a fantastic experience and the quality of the platter is better than any high end restaurants in the area. Worth a visit if youre in the area and if you live here make it your local!
"Fish and Chip" afternoon tea was amazing!! ... value for money, tasty food, lovely courteous staff and a lovely snug pub.... visited before but you can tell it's a new chef since our last visit!! ... perfection!
