It's a rough and ready pub, but the staff are friendly. We ALWAYS visit it after a walk and they are very welcoming. We get no hassle there from the other customers either.
Nice tidy well run pub with clean bar and toilets. Has heated outside area. Having lived in the pub trade i praise a well run pub it isnt easy
You know what it's alright, it's the local pub to the station so it's not glamorous, it's very much the Robseal of pubs, happily doing what it does best. Drinks, snacks, darts, pool. What else is there. Enjoy
I went for a drink not as hotel guest. The food I ordered was very good and the pub had 2 pool tables, one in the lounge & one in the bar. It was a proper pub with no kids running around unsupervised..Well done Lincoln Arms 👍🏻
Great location. Right next to the train station, and less than 15 minute walk to the high street where there are many shops, restaurants, etc. Staff was sweet and helpful, they knew the area and could direct to shops/dinner (they do not serve food on site). The room was large and clean, only two things brought the review down: there was no hot water (cold showers are a nightmare) and the windows did not lock. We were on the second floor, and the area felt good, but I would still prefer they'd locked. They were quite old windows, still using counter weights, and I think they'd bowed with age. All in all, the experience was good, but a couple things could have been improved.
