The Fleece Inn has been providing a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike since the 15th century. You can still find many of the original features of this charming old building;
a warren of interconnecting spaces, warm, inviting nooks and crannies, exposed timbers and low ceilings, with beautiful leaded windows looking out over St Marys Church opposite.
Come and join us for a drink, a chat, or something good to eat. Specialty teas and coffees; a selection of delicious, well priced wines; and an exciting range of local ales can be enjoyed in the rear courtyard on sunny days or by the roaring fire in the bar when frost has nipped your toes. Day and night, all are welcome – workers and walkers, shoppers and talkers, friends, families and colleagues.
Drinker-friendly; guest beers are local and rotated regularly.
Child-friendly; a popular children’s’ menu, high chairs, colouring books, playing cards and dominoes.
Dog-friendly; well-behaved pooches are welcome in the bar, lounge and snug. They may even get a treat or two.
Free WiFi; internet is available in the pub.

Hello, since 2007 we've owned and run The Castle Inn. The Inn itself dates back to at least 1566 so we're proud to be playing a small part in its history whilst hopefully moving the tradition of inn keeping forward.
