Can't fault it. Service quick and friendly. Food lovely and reasonably priced. Hotel was clean and warm. The only downside is parking. Like so many towns in Norfolk, Beccles seems hell bent on deterring visitors by high car park charges.
Does what it says on the tin, great value, warm, clean toilets and very busy. What's not to love about a visit to a Spoons.
Our first visit here recently was ok, except for receiving one wrong order. Today’s visit wasn’t any better. Ordered mushy peas with the scampi meal, it came with garden peas. But, it was lucky that we even got the food, as when the waitress came through asking where table 12 was no one answered. By chance I saw what looked like our order on the tray, we were table 14. Don’t think we will be returning any time soon.
Rooms are immaculate, super clean and modern. The young fellow on the reception was very nice and welcoming. The pub itself is very nice, old rustic style looks great. Plenty of tables and space to drink. The food is like any if weatherspoons, comes out quick, hot and tasty. Big selection of drinks from cocktails to beers to wines, literally anything. Great location, right in the centre of Beccles, plenty of parking around town
Stopped for lunch and typical Wetherspoons. Good value and lovely food served promptly at 2.00pm lunchtime on Wednesday. Had the coconut Katsu chicken and rice from the Curry Club menu. With a large glass of wine and two poppodum and three dips. A whole large breast of succulent chicken carefully sliced with tasty sauce. It was all served within 10 minutes and beautifully warm. Only £12
