I'm a huge fan of this place. The views from my room (I think it was 5) were just next level sublime. Windows on both sides that look out into courtyards and the street -- which just make the stay magical. Note, the interiors haven't been recently renovated and if you're used to Kempinski levels of luxury you might be sorely disappointed, but if you want a clean, good, central place to stay, you'll love it. The bonus here is the friendliness of the staff. I'm the worst with remembering names but each one of them was a star (was it Claire?) who'd not only make you at home but stay for a closing drink with you in the bar downstairs. It's a great place. Recommended.
Did not book a room, as we were staying elsewhere. But came in and danced the night away to a local (must see) band, the Mix. Nice pint and brilliant atmosphere. Staff, doorman, and management are all excellent and friendly. Thank you for a really enjoyable night.
Very friendly staff, excellent rooms, brilliant location. 5 of 5 stars with no doubt, will definatelly recommend to everyone, I will come again some day when I'm travelling nearby. Special thanks for the best customer service I've received in UK!
My partner and I have just returned from a 2 night stay at the White Horse, can not praise it highly enough. A lovely warm welcome. Shown to our room which was much larger than expected. Had everything we needed and nice and clean. A little noisy from main road but nothing more than you would expect from a town centre pub, with an excellent location. No parking but a long stay car park very close, albeit expensive. Breakfast was amazing (really wish I could poach eggs like that. There was an option of 3 breakfasts but you could literally mix and match anything from the menu, Excellent value for money. Really enjoyed it thank you. Len and Di
