What an absolutely fabulous establishment. I’m the Old Town this gem of a place is amazing. Came tonight with friends. We booked a room with a real fire and ordered a charcuterie board. Excellent value for money, the surrounding are out to this world, the drinks are extremely well priced. We will be coming back time and time again.

Called in on a Friday afternoon about 3pm. There was no-one behind the bar, and a mobile phone was left on the side ( presumably owned by a staff member? ) . We waited for about 5 minutes assuming someone would hear us or see us as there was CCTV but no. We ended up walking out & going to The PackHorse. We decided to try again a little later. There were a few people in by this time but still no bar staff. Really disappointing, with this level of 'service' it's a wonder they are still in business.

I often pop in for a couple of drinks here and it's always friendly and has a well priced selection. Last week we came in for a Charcuterie Board and we were not disappointed. Sitting at a candlelit table in front of an open fire with a lovely glass of red we had the perfect tea time treat. The food was a really good mix of meats, cheeses and pickles. I would highly recommend a visit and the food here - a unique experience.

It is like stepping back in time when entering this pub. The decor and labyrinth of different rooms you can sit in upstairs makes this pub a truly unique place to drink in. There are no other pubs like this in the area so it is definitely worth visiting! ☆☆☆☆☆

Great, tradional pub with a twist. Along with the bar, there are various unique rooms with lovely old furniture. They also have on offer a cheese and ham sharing board for £9.95, or £19.95 with a bottle of house wine ( good quality according to my wife ). The only downside, as a none drinker, I drink lime and soda. The only soda that was available were small mixer bottles, so it makes it a very expensive drink
