Bev and Steve welcome you to The Burston Crown. We are situated in the picture book Norfolk village of Burston, 21 miles from Norwich, 2.9 miles from Diss and 28 miles from Ipswich.

The Crown is a 16th Century building and features several open fireplaces, oak beams, an expansive beer garden and most of all a warm welcome from your hosts Bev and Steve (more about us later!).
We cater for a wide choice of dining and drinking experiences — all designed to offer you to chance to relax and enjoy yourselves. We have a roomy lounge bar with comfortable settees next to a lovely stone hearth. A public bar with a pool table and, our treasured pearl, a separate restaurant with both a la carte and bar menus available at all times.
We are proud to boast a chef ‘with a past’! Steve has toured extensively as a chef with rock and roll stars such as U2 and Bruce Springsteen amongst many other famous (and fussy!) musicians. This worldwide touring has allowed Steve to sample an eclectic range of cuisines and styles which we are proud to feature throughout our menus as well as some more traditional fare.
In the Norfolk tradition Steve insist on local, fresh produce and meats. These provide the core for a home-cooked, mouth watering bar menu that complements the continually refreshed a la carte menu.
Whilst Steve is slaving over several hot stoves, his wife Bev and her front of house team are here to help you with anything you need. Please do not hesitate to ask them about our ‘Special Occasions’ or absolutely any other event such as personalised menus, buffets or a barbeque in our lovely beer garden.
The choice is yours — pop in for a quiet drink, a more serious night out with friends, a relax after walking your hounds or a beautiful meal in our restaurant. Children are welcome.

Enjoyed a nice lunch with friends. Couldn't fault the food or service. Ale selection is fairly limited.
Simply one of the best roast beef dinners I have ever had, and I have had a fair few. Great food, good beer and a nice place overall. Highly recommended.
Bloody marvellous! Second time in 2 months…. We don’t live Nearby but advise anyone to stop by here for food. Proper food, no ultra-processed rubbish. No sign of those chips coming out of bag! Have a nice Prosecco in a nice tall glass. (Most Prosecco awful everywhere but here they really have a good one) Nice wines by glass and also hand-pull ales. Friendly team and super clean place. Immaculate. It’s a little out in the sticks… so please everybody go here and keep it going… would be an awful loss if didn’t survive due to lack of customers from surrounding area 😁 Wonderful and 6 stars out of 5 🌟
What a cute little find this was! We we’re going to Norwich from Essex and wanted to stop for lunch along the way. Found this little place on google and after reading the reviews, we booked a table. The reviews were right- food was beautiful. Even my (fussy) children liked it. The pub itself is adorably cute with a lovely outside space. The atmosphere was so relaxing and the staff were friendly, polite and attentive. If it was more local to us we would be here every week. I love this pub!
Excellent food and the outdoor dining area was perfect. Just enough room to keep you dry in a summer shower. And the staff go above and beyond when it's raining.
