What a great pub, went in the pub for food and a couple of beers. Fantastic service and beer. Had a classic seat pie and mash which was delicious. The staff made a big fuss over the dog which he loved. Can't think of a single thing to improve my visit. A must visit after a walk around the reservoir.
We got to the pub in the hopes of getting some food after having a great meal there the previous evening. While we were too late for sunday dinner, Anwen, suggested that we place an order with a local takeaway and have a drink while we wait. 4 hours later, we are having an amazing evening with fantastic company. The hospitality, atmosphere, and overall experience was second to none. I have never been so pleased to miss a sunday dinner! This particular evening was the highlight of our trip to Pontsticill. We will certainly be visiting again. Thank you Guys.
Absolutely amazing restaurant. Rang and booked a table for my mums 60th birthday and they were very willing to cater for 15 people with a deposit. We were allowed to decorate and upon arriving the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We sat in the snug area and all in the party said how wonderful the vibe of the pub was. We had all three courses and there was nothing to fault with them. Beautiful food, decent price, reasonably priced and quality drinks. Thank you for everything tonight. You were all amazing. I will be returning to you again! Keep up the good work.
Visited for Sunday lunch. Lovely welcome from the landlord. Proper country pub with log fire, dogs welcome, nice atmosphere. Food was amazing (slightly pricey, but worth it). Good service. Pate was stunning. Sunday lunches were great. Lots of meat. More veg if you want it. Gravy was amazing. Desserts nice, too. Crockery and cutlery were elegant. Lovely tea and coffee, too.
Couldn't give this place a better review. Turnt up for food before a hike not realising they didn't serve food until abit later but they were more than welcome to get us in and the chef even done our food early for us. Owner was beyond lovely staying chatting to us and giving us advice on routes and places to view. Will definitely be popping back to stay when the rooms become available. The food, oh the food. It was beyond amazing. And very well priced. Great work, keep it up guys
