You wouldn’t know from looking at it, but this is a small pub that has a brilliant restaurant at the back. You can have bar snacks - the Korean Chicken bites are a 15 out of ten, but the new Sriacha Tempura Shrimp is a challenger. But the food in the restaurant is tip top. They do a scallop raviolo which is awesome, and the Wellington was off the charts. There’s other great items on the menu - tuna sashimi and the liver parfait are great starters, and there’s always a butchers special that’s tempting. I have to make special mention of the service - Sam and Jocette are delightful hostesses who are attentive without being intrusive. They also know how to offer guidance around the wine list, which is a bit of a treasure trove. In one sense the Hunter’s Moon is a local pub with desperately friendly hosts, but it shields a really amazing restaurant. Would recommend.
Upscale pub with great vibe. Overall food and service was good. The roast wasn't the best, but quite good with the exception of the vegetables, which were terrible. (I know, no one orders the roast for veggies, but still!)
One of the best in food experiences in London!! Professional and friendly staff…. We had the chicken schnitzel and the beef feather-blade for lunch, which just melted in my mouth. The dinning room has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and we were served by a lovely member of staff, who was very friendly and attentive. Thank you Jo. We’ll be regulars now!
We found this gem by chance today, after being mistreated by a waiter at The Goat nearby. Their bartender said the place was fully booked, but their waitress Sam managed to give us a table straight away. Sam was wonderful, very accomodating in making me a sweet cocktail, so polite and always trying to go the extra mile. The service is efficient but you do not see the staff stressing out, which makes the ambience quite chilled out for their guests. The food was really good! The chicken was soooo tender, which we guessed they cooked it in a steamer for some time? Perfect! The gravy, the bread puree and the honey glazed carrots were so tasty. We were so lucky! It's also dog friendly.
The Hunter's Moon in deepest Kensington is great. Perhaps more of a restaurant than a pub but that is not entirely fair, serves beer, both cask and keg...there is a bar and I had a pint! However, there is a clear excitement about the food menu ranging from scratchings to Exmoor caviar with blinis and a sauce Gribiche. There is also an Aga in the back room, maybe nuclear powered though, not sure. A great place, clearly somewhere to eat and not just drink.,.next time. Loved it.
