Forgot to write this last month! But Shineka was truly a great person. She helped me and my friends out after some incidents that happened and she was just so helpful. She gave great advice when someone was having a panic attack and seemed to really care. The club/bar itself really wasn’t the vibe I cant lie. But she and Josiane, were really lovely. 5 stars to them!
DJ/music of a high school pep rally from hell, fake cover charge that was dropped “just for us” as soon as we went to turn around and leave the line…they gotta be desperate lol. Shoutout to the lady checking out IDs tho, she was a saint
Never come here. They will steal your money after you buy drinks. The manager does not care, and the staff are very disrespectful.
Awful place with rude, aggressive, homophobic bouncers. I was here for an unplanned night out with friends and in the short time I was there I witnessed the bouncers attack a guy who did nothing wrong. They were booting him in the head whilst he was unable to defend himself. Absolute animals behaving like a bunch of thugs. The head bouncer (bald white guy) was also making homophobic remarks saying he don’t like gays because he is Moroccan(I am a straight female and was disgusted). He was also mocking and laughing at random females dancing. They are just bully’s who have let the power go to their heads.
With hardly anywhere open in Shoreditch coming up to midnight on a Sunday, we were blagged by the doormen to go in with 2-4-1 cocktails. Once two cocktails were ordered, we were charged for both until we argued this one out with the barman. The place was virtually empty. I'd guess 10 people maximum were in there. Upon leaving, one of the guys who was with the doormen offered to get us "anything we wanted" and thrust a very dodgy looking and flimsy 'business card' in my hand. Located at the top of Curtain Rd and on Old Street, it is in the heart of the clubs and bars in Shoreditch/Old Street areas. Not one I will be returning to!

Callooh Callay opened in November 2008. At the time, cocktail bars in Shoreditch were few and far between. We wanted to open a venue which delivered high quality drinks and service, but without any of the pretension that came along with those things in 20

Introducing The Reliance, a lovely local pub with creative tendencies. Our artist-in-residence, Charlie Smith, operates a private art gallery on our second floor with a new show opening every third Thursday of the month.
