Stopped in for a spot of lunch whilst shopping in a very busy Oxford Street. Friendly staff and good service. Lovely Olde Pub! The food was delicious! We can certainly recommend the Christmas Pie.

Came in today by accident, as we are visiting London and didn’t get a table at a touristy place on the other side of the street. Came for some pub classics, and they surely didn’t disappoint. Steak and Stilton pie was great, pints pinted and the staff even let me take a nap on the bench after I was knocked out by the generous portions. Most guest seemed like locals, service was good and the atmosphere was just what I expected from a proper British pub. Even more delighted to see that Orwell and others came to drink here. Happy accidents happen! Cheers to the team!

A top class establishment, I would highly recommend you get down to this place if you're in the local area. The staff are very friendly and the food is top class. Bookmark this spot for the next time you're in town. Great value as well!

Reasonably priced pub only 5 minutes walking distance from Oxford street. The food and service were all good and the prices were very reasonable for central London. It wasn't packed and there was plenty of space, so, yes, a good place to have a meal and drink!

Classic gem just hidden away enough. 1 hand pull on, which was very good and Guinness was good too. Took the pie deal 2 for £19 something kids had a selection of tapas type dishes, my pie (stilton and beef) was excellent. Well filled with tender chunks, wife had chicken and ham and leeks, it looked great. Side veg were cooked perfectly
