Visiting the Stamford Post this afternoon, was really Good. Great beer, Good Food, really Lovely and Welcoming to the Patron. Bar Staff were Excellent. What a Great place to have a meal and a relaxing pint as you relax enjoy the Ambience and Atmospere if the Establishment. I Highly recommend this Lovely pub and Restuarant. Come and try it for yourself. Jonathan Bowles a regular patron.
Terrible service, food took over thirty minutes, arrived cold (all three dishes) and the “toast” was just slightly stale bread! Complained but clearly staff not bothered. Staff were just stood around doing nothing, we watched one order just getting cold on the service window, for over 20 minutes. Actually only thing that arrived warm was the child’s plate. Scorching hot plate on a child’s food!
Went back here again lovely place friendly and fast serving lovely staff. And not forgetting the great well servied Guinness. Can't wait to go back again. Wish it was my local. Thanks.
Spoons #130 very nice location and sunny seating area we could have sat there all day but we were mid travels Stop off to tick off and have a coffee, we will return as Stamford is beautiful and full of character
The Stamford Post is a large, above-average JD Wetherspoon pub in the centre of Stamford - one of literally a dozen pubs and bars within a 5-minute-walk radius. There's one large dining room with a long bar inside, and an equally large outside seating area that is very comfortable in good weather. Decent selection of cask ales (better than that of many other, more expensive places in the neighbourhood), and the usual streamlined JDW food at cheap prices. Not the worst option in Stamford by far, but one of the better ones indeed. Recommended on a pub crawl of this small town. Surprisingly civilized crowd on a Saturday afternoon. I guess I got lucky!
