About us

The first micropub to be opened in Lincolnshire. The building was part of the Priory of Spalding and is believed almost 800 years old. Because of its shape it has always been known as The Oven or The Prior's Oven and has been used as Spalding Monastic Prison. Its more recent use was as a bakery and it became a pub in mid December 2013. As well as the ground floor bar with its vaulted ceiling, a stone spiral staircase leads up to a gin bar. Beer is also available in one third pint measures.

Great little bar in the town centre. Local real ales straight from the barrel. Ciders also available.

A place that goes above and beyond. Every single thing thrown at them, they'll face head on. I thank Charlie, Nathan and especially Luke. When it all hits the fan, I'll be proud to drink with you all in the street (with freebies for the poor farm workers)

Nice little cosy pup. Probably not everyone's favourite but I like it. The toilet is small and really old but at least it's clean. The upper Gin bar is very nice decorated with nice furniture and music. Very relaxing. We really enjoyed it. Very friendly staff too. Definitely a place you should visit for a pint or a Gin.

One of my favourite bar in Spalding. If you looking for good and teasty Ales or looking for cosy place with lots of different gin I recommend that bar.
