Had a good night with friends until bouncer stormed up without any due cause and grabbed me and told me “get out your barred” and threw me out, LITERALLY! I would get it if I were causing trouble but I was sitting with a large group of people not causing any trouble but yet got barred without any warning or getting told what is it I done to warrant the way the bouncer acted. Very unprofessional from the “licensed bouncer” which I can’t guarantee as I didn’t a badge in sight. I would not recommend to go due to my experience if your young and looking to have a good night, this is the first time in this bar and I have been barred for no due reason. Again I would understand if the bouncer gave me a reason but no reason for why he literally grabbed me and chucked me out was something This is something I have never seen happen in any establishment I have ever been to, very unprofessional and discriminatory due to the group of people we were with and what we identify as. I would look for this incident to be looked into and for the bouncer to be disciplined due to the man handling and not giving a reason at all when asked to why this happened. Will looked to a response regarding this matter, if no response may matter further.
We chose the West End Bar to host my son’s baptism on Sunday and we couldn’t have been more impressed! Chloe, who was in charge of overseeing the function suite, was quick to introduce herself and make sure we were all happy throughout. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We definitely received a 5 star experience! I would highly recommend the West End Bar for functions and would absolutely book again in the future! Thanks guys 👍
Excellent service from Jamie and staff when we had our Christening party there on 23rd February. It was quite an emotional return to the place we once owned and the baby whose christening it was is the great great grandson of Joseph and Elizabeth MacNeil. The West End will always hold very special ties to out family. Thank you Elizabeth.
Under new management as of July 2018. Now owned by the Lisini Group who have turned this bar around in a matter of months. Most of the reviews are from previous ownership. Give this pub a go, you won’t be disappointed.
We went down to The West End Bar to see Robert & May Miller, a very popular singing duo, May is also very irreverent, and very,very funny.A great night was had by all. Blantyre hospitality is always first class so 10 out of 10 to The West End Bar for putting on such a great night.
