Don't go to Cuban on certain nights like BED student night, unless you want to be crushed by too many people on the ground floor. Everyone was rude shoving people, elbowing, kicking and threats for fighting on the dance floor. Other people were falling over getting hurt.
Cuban staff are the absolute best! I've never been to Cuban but i experienced my wallet getting stolen and traced a transaction to Cuban last night, I rushed to the place within an hour of receiving my bank's notification. I was very well taken care of, I explained my situation to security and they got the manager to help me. They handled everything very fast and super efficiently, through security cameras and ID scans, we found who stole and used my bank card within 15 min. Everything was handled smoothly and with care, they all knew what to do and the relief of getting my wallet back washed over me so soon after me getting to Cuban. Everyone who worked there was kind and considerate. I'm now encouraged to go to Cuban properly, as I imagine the experience is as lovely as the staff.
Delusional bouncers outside the front claiming students only when It’s not a student night only. Refused entry due to cocky bouncers £10 down for nothing, please get nicer bouncers that know how to do their job instead of lying to customers and treating them badly in future ( bouncer Lukas ) and another bald man with beard. Will not return again very disappointing
Nice spot, there's an entrance fee and they take a copy of your ID, pretty standard these days unfortunately. Spacious inside with a smoking area. Nice dance floor. DJ and a good variety of spirits. Good club
It's fun maybe for like 20 minutes, after that it becomes overwhelming. So- "The Cuban" looks like it had a pretty great atmosphere from the entrance, which is why I decided to come in here. Problem is that you have to pay a £10 entry fee, so you basically should stay for at least 45 minutes to make it worthwhile. They also require your ID for proof of age, so bare that in mind if you look young. As for being inside the nightclub: It's loud- VERY loud. When I was ordering a diet coke I had to shout so I could be heard. I understand it's like a party, but the music doesn't need to be *that* loud, surely. My biggest concern with this nightclub was the fact that it looked like a covid breeding ground on the dance floor. Even though I'm fully vaccinated, I still didn't feel comfortable with people being up in my face. Personal space is still a thing as well! If you want to have a fun night out without the worry of heavy covid spreaders, and being able to actually hear yourself think, then I would recommend just looking at other midnight pubs instead. Had to give this place a try though. I just think if the staff could enforce a limited capacity and turn the music down, then I would rate this nightclub higher. Thank you for reading.
