Ordered ham, egg and chips. The ham was wafer thin out of a packet and hidden under the eggs (probably done purposely out of embarrassment) The sad thing was that I only ordered it as I saw one of the waitresses eating it for her lunch as we arrived, and thought it looked good. I was served something completely different! Don't think I'll be going back in a hurry, sorry.
A great place to complete a circular walk in the area including St.Pauls Walden. Parked at pub and in return had a good pub lunch and a good pint. All plates were left empty. 8 of us and efficient and friendly service with a warm fire going. Pub was fairly quiet but people were welcoming.
At last. A professional tenant! Good choice and condition of beer and kitchen now re-open. Decent flooring is promised so more stars to earn for atmosphere.
Came for dinner on the reopening of the kitchen. Food was delicious and great service! Would highly recommend and will be back soon!
Recently under new management and what a transformation! A warm welcome, very clean, great beers and delicious food. Just had a lovely lunch here with very high end pub grub with generous portions! So pleased to have such a great pub in our village. Dog friendly 🐕.
