New menu started yesterday and we were lucky enough to be up from London visiting family. One of the best pub lunches we’ve ever had - and the service was faultless. Compliments to the chef, keep up the good work!

I left poor review about 4 months ago because we were disappointed with service and the fact the kitchen always seemed to be closed even when they should have been open. However, we were told that are two new award winning chefs taking over so we returned this evening for a meal. I must say that both the service and the food was exceptional. There has been a significant improvement in both. There was a good variety on the menu, and it was difficult to choose. Everything that we saw coming out of the kitchen looked exceptionally. We got talking to other people in the restaurant and no body had a bad word to say about anything. We are looking forward to returning to try more of this exceptional menu. Well done to all involved.

Arrived in Ross on Wye Friday as a group of 8 with 2 children and 3 dogs looking for somewhere to eat and drink. Despite not having a booking, this place managed to find room for us and had an amazing meal here. 2 of the group were running late yet they still managed to get a meal even though the kitchen was ready to close. Great service, very good drink selection and great food. Highly recommend the place.

Warm and friendly staff, especially Shannon. Clean and comfortable decor. Particularly liked the carpeted floors. The food truly excellent and good portions. We also loved the view over the river with friendly swans and ducks. A really enjoyable experience. Thankyou.

A great location on the River Wye. Stayed for one night. The room was clean and well presented. Unfortunately, there was a party going on so plenty of noise. Bathroom could have been cleaner (attention to detail around the toilet seat 😳) Breakfast was disappointing - having to wait 45 minutes (apparently they were busy, but there were only 10 other people dining) for smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, served on toasted cheap white bread. A decent bread would have made a difference. Good value.
