The Shepherd and Dog has returned, providing delicious drinks, a friendly atmosphere, and tasty food too. We look forward to welcoming customers old and new!
One of our aims for the new pub is to build it up as the heart of our community. We will be having regular coffee mornings, restarting the monthly pub quiz, as well as bringing some new, exciting events to the table.
Great food, reasonably priced and really friendly staff in the cosy, dog friendly pub.
A lovely pub had visted before. Was good then. Excellent food very good service. Recommended.
First visit to the pub it's in a lovely position in a lovely village. Really decorated nicely inside. Staff lovely and attentive. We all has a Sunday roast you could tell it was all fresh vegetables not frozen. Was really really disappointed that it was only luke warm when it was served. Wanted to ask if it could be put in the microwave to be heated up but my husband wouldn't let me. Absolutely hate luke warm food, so sorry inclined not to eat there again.
The Shepherd and Dog was a fab find. The Sunday lamb roasts were amazing, such great flavour. We added the cauliflower cheese to our order and it did not disappoint. One of the best roasts we've had out! Mia our waitress was super attentive and sweet.
5 star mains, 3 star desserts and service. Good location and not very busy for a Saturday lunch. They have a whole section of wall dedicated to an OS map of the area. This is a lovely feature to lose yourself in while awaiting food.
