First time coming here. Service was very fast, no lengthy waiting times. The food came out in big portions and was delicious. If you're looking for a quiet place to enjoy a good meal, I'd recommend here! They don't allow children under 14 in which is ideal for a quieter setting.
Had a fabulous lunch today x turned up x literally welcomed , with a smile from Tracy , shown to a table drinks order taken, fabulous service x ordered the roast lamb have to say the best roast I’ve had in a long time just like my nannas x even had mashed swede !!! 4 lots of veg , potatoes crisp and fluffy , lamb was lovely and tender . Even asked if we wanted extra gravy ! Followed by jam roll poly n custard (me) not had this since I was a kid ! Loved it. Mister had cherry pie n ice cream all home made both loved it x great service girls are amazing x plates cleared away promptly x had the best Sunday xxx thank you Lauren and team x you are amazing x

Excellent food would easily recommend. Great service and staff are superb. Toilets are clean, plenty of parking with a large area. Good out door seating area. Food is top notch and been back many a times.
As always a great visit to the Oakwood Inn. The food is good honest pub grub. At lunch time all main specials (didn't look at the menu as so many to choose from) were £11.95. My Dad had the chicken curry and it was a massive portion. My steak and kidney pie (A proper homemade pie) was excellent. If they every have the chicken leek and bacon pie on, have that! They do not take bookings and it is open for 14years upwards. Very busy Sundays, and don't be surprised to see a queue outside waiting at 12 for then to open. Well done to all staff who make this place work.
