Place is a complete mess. Could and should be a well run money making property but it’s not. Rooms are basic with tatty worn out furniture The outside is a health hazard with large accumulations of bird droppings. The whole place is run down and an embarrassment to Pevensey Bay.

This review is dated on our stay in August 2023. First, the good points: it's centrally located in Pevensey Bay, with easy access to the beach and local shops. There is a lovely bakers/cafe opposite and another cafe next door. It's easy access to Eastbourne. The room was clean, with no nasty odours and, the bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, too. There is no staff actually on the premises (a cleaner comes in to prepare the rooms). To gain access to your room, you receive a code number by email, on the day, to enter into a key safe by the rear entrance. You will find just one key. There is no lift and, the stairways are narrow so, is tricky with a large heavy suitcase. (Some reviewers said they had trouble getting the code number and, warned it was a scam - we had no such problems). The room was simply decorated with very little in the way of furniture and storage: there was no chair or wardrobe - just a short hanging rail in the corner. Apart from hanging a few shirts, I lived the weekend from my suitcase. I think the bedside cabinets were an attempt at 'shabby chic'. The right hand bedside lamp had been fitted in a position the resulted in banging your head on it when you sat up. There were no towels rails and it could have done with shelving for toiletries and, a shelf in the shower for shampoo, etc. There was a door leading onto a fire escape landing but, try as we might, it could not be opened so, if there was a fire, we would have climbed out of the window! This led to a problem: when it was hot in the room - no air conditioning - we couldn't open the windows at night as, anyone could have come into the room while we were asleep, with access from the fire escape! Ignore old photos of a smart hotel and old reviews: it is no longer a hotel - I would best describe it as a hostel. The outside is scruffy and neglected. Was it awful? No. Would I stay there again? Only if nowhere else was available Please take a look at my photos.

One of the worst night stays I’ve ever had. If you like the sound of cars and bikes revving their engines all night long this may be your kind of place. Too hot, no aircon and opening windows only make the already loud noises worse. Small rooms, small bathrooms, no water pressure, no food in the venue, looks like a ghost town. Wish id driven elsewhere and stayed in a cheaper place that actually had hotel/B&B amenities.

We didn't want to leave - in fact we extended our stay! Wonderful hotel, very comfortable with super staff! The check in process it perfect and means you can come and go as you please with no time preassures. Staff are always around when you need them and offering you everything you need and more. The rooms are modern, spacious, have everything you need supplied and the beds were really comfotable. We were so welcomed by the hotel manager Barbara who made sure we were always cared for helped us way beyond any expections to know the areas and with advice - thank you so much! We'll be back as often as we can!

Not sure what to make of this place. Room was clean and comfortable but spartan. No table or chair(s). Just the bed and nightstands. Modern bathroom but the water pressure could have been higher and the water warmer. Self check in via key boxes at the back of the hotel. No breakfast (although the café just around the corner does a great English for a very reasonable price). The photos that appear in Google maps are completely misleading since apart from the rooms the rest of the building is deserted. Difficult to know if they're in the process of renovating or closing down. All told not a bad experience, but there are better places to stay in Eastbourne for a similar price. Doubt if we'll be staying here again.
