Visited Heathfield Tavern for our office Christmas party in December and a birthday party a couple of months prior. I already cannot wait to go back! The food was excellent & the service was fantastic!
4 friends and myself went for a few drinks and dinner at the weekend, the staff were polite and helpful, the food was hot/well-presented and tasty and the atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. I had the pasta linguine and my friends had burgers, overall a pleasant evening and will be back again for sure!
December 2023 Foresters Christmas lunch. 13 of us altogether. Warm welcome, swift service, all three courses were served individually on time, so we all ate together. All of us enjoyed our dishes, my goats cheese and beetroot tart was so tasty and the pastry was lovely. Sea bass, really lovely, plum and ginger pudding with custard was a pleasant change and really nice. I would highly recommend Christmas lunch here and as per my previous reviews, eat here for any occasion. Superb. Thank you to the whole Tavern team 👍. October 2023. Visited again with my friend from when our children were toddlers, she had travelled quite a distance so it was so good to have a warm welcome and the most delicious fish and chips! I have had to edit this old review as it seems I can't write a new one.. I visited here again tonight, Saturday is 21st August 2021 after two years, due to lockdown. There were 13 of us, all (well behaved!) ladies from regular fitness classes. The food was excellent, the service, friendly and efficient, the staff went out of their way, even moving tables soon after we all arrived, so we could all be together. Thanks to the team, we all had a fabulous evening. Thank you. Unfortunately, the food was so good, I forgot to take a photo 😂
We went here at the end of November for a roast, and had a wonderful meal. Very decent sized portions, very succulent beef, probably the best Yorkshire pudding I've ever had out with a roast; it was big and crispy, and a good selection of veggies. And the gravy was delicious. Pudding was a brownie which I really didn't need, but enjoyed immensely. Lovely staff, and we weren't rushed even though we were there at the later end if service. Highly recommended and will definitely go back.
Lovely fish n chips Friday, tasty and good deal 2 for 1 offer. Never been here before, lovely food.
