Unfortunately I stopped going here as the large dog is out of control. He might be sweet according to some reviews...but when you are confronted by it when you walk in...Barking like he wants to tear you apart, it's not inviting at all. That dog did go for my friends dog once...and he stopped going there too. I love dogs but I do think this one needs to be kept under control or left out the bat area
I always have a great night here, Chris and Lucy are brilliant all around. They have a fantastic selection of drinks, they get some really good bands playing there and on quieter nights their pub dogs are just the sweetest. The atmosphere is always welcoming and their staff member, Jonny, and regulars are friendly and always up for a chat and a laugh
A couple of Dartmoor beers on the bar, very limited seating, I know they host gigs but leaving the "stage" area empty is a mistake.
Great little pub. Friendly people and excellent service. Live bands at the weekend, which have the place rocking.
Wow this is certainly a great place to visit. It's a little off the main Street in Totnes but a definite good find. Plenty of seating outside so we were able to sit with our dog comfortably. The pub itself looked superb when we went in to order food and drinks. The food was really well priced as well. Didn't have to wait long for our food either. The portions were great and delicious. The Mushy Peas were home made... I have never tasted mushy peas like it !! They were awesome. Lovely staff who were really happy to chat too. Highly recommend
