The Manor House is a beautiful 15th century Grade II listed building, abundant in character & charm, and is located in the heart of the historic market town of Dronfield, Derbyshire.
We are perfectly situated as a base to explore the wonderful scenery of The Peak District & only a short drive into the city of Sheffield or Chesterfield.
The building itself was sympathetically renovated, re-designed & re-styled in 2009, and mixes the contemporary with the traditional to stunning effect. There is a delightful traditional bar area with original stone walls, wooden beams, styled seating areas, quirky picture windows & a stone fire-place, and is popular destination for locals & guests alike.
The rustically styled café lounge/restaurant opens & serves breakfast from 7am weekdays (8am weekends) , and is also open all day every day for teas, coffees & hot drinks, plus a wide selection of cakes, bakes, scones, other tempting treats. It’s the perfect comfortable space to wind down & take a break during a hectic day!
Our evening menu is available from 6pm until 9pm.
Each hotel room has been individually designed around the traditional features, and offers free wi-fi, flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

Overall a small but clean room with very friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast!
This hotel is shocking unless you don’t spend times in other hotels. I booked a luxury suite what a joke an ironing board with no legs, a kettle no coffee machine no bat robes no slippers the bar below raving until 1AM although closes at 12 for none residents I was told what time I had to take breakfast, no water in the rooms. Look for a luxury suite you should provide bath robes, bottles of water, better toiletries, a real ironing board, a TV in the bedroom, a modern tv in the suite lounge not one from 1995, all on all for £140 Shockingly bad wasn’t even clean I moved the bedside table to iron on the floor and the dust on the carpet changed the colour. Never again Never again Never again go to Sheffield on a brand new hotel with better facilities for half the price it’s that bad we will leave without having breakfast
Just had breakfast at The Manor House and it was excellent. Generous portions, quick and pleasant service, would recommend.
We had an amazing stay here, gorgeous clean rooms, very welcoming, it's a beautiful 17th century building kept to a good high spec. Lovely and warm and the breakfast was generous and tasty 😋. Would definitely come back 🙂
I've been for breakfast and lunch and love the food and it's very reasonably priced. However, the last couple of times I've tried to go for breakfast, it's been a disaster. First time we didn't book as the booking system had only just been introduced and we were unaware of this. The staff said we could wait in the bar and they would inform us as soon as a table was available. After about 40 mins I enquired if a table was ready and was told they weren't serving anyone else as the kitchen was backed up with orders so we had to leave. Second time, my friend booked a table for 4 of us, it was my Friends birthday so a special occasion. When we arrived we were told there was a function booked and no regular bookings were being taken. We were not told this on booking and our name had been crossed out of the book but no one had thought to inform us! Needless to say we won't be going back. The staff were unapologetic on both occasions. Shame really, we did like the food a lot and the veggie breakfast is especially good.
