Absolutely brilliant pub/restaurant. First visit to Brampton Mill and will definitely be coming back again! Hands down one of the best pub meals in Cambridgeshire. The venue is charming, the staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. I'll be back when the weather is warmer. 10/10 would recommend.
Disappointed to write this review after today’s visit, but something isn’t right here and I hope these guys can use the feedback to improve. 4 of us went for roast dinners, but we’re really let down. They’ve just reopened after the floods and we’re hoping for a nice Sunday. Drinks took an age to arrive and despite us finishing drinks after starters we never got the chance to get another Sadly the food arrived cold, and barely with gravy, when asking for more and horseradish for the 4 of us, we got the smallest amount arrive. We spoke to one of the staff members telling them the food was cold and asked for more piping hot gravy to try and warm the food, but when it arrived, it was a small amount and also tepid warm. Service was slow and simple things like clearing plates took forever. We had empty tables around us so certainly wasn’t at capacity. We were promised dessert menus, and had to ask again but didn’t arrived. Eventually we gave up and headed for the front desk to pay as we couldn’t get the attention of anyone. We were offered a discount on the meals we had, but it didn’t take away from the experience and would take so much for me to return after that poor experience. The food did taste good and had potential, but sadly was ruined by the temperature. I hope they can make changes and revive the service and that anyone that reads this and attends has a better experience.
Company dinner. Ordered three course meal from the festive menu. Excellent presentation, flavour and texture from starters, mains and dessert. Creamy baked mushrooms, rich gravy with the mains and surprisingly shaped cheesecakes. Beautiful place to visit, would look better in daytime. Loses a star because the car park was flooded on arrival, and the price was slightly steeper than what I would normally go for. Still a great place for dinner and/or drinks.
Nice and not so pricy place, I love this restaurant. If you want to eat it is better to reserve a table or be there before 12.00. You can have a nive diner for 19 GBP, they offer wife variety of delicous dishes. I reccomend this place for everyone.
Very nice place, a bit noisy as all tables were taken. One visit is enough. Lunch menu was reasonable in price around £20 per person for 3 courses, however not big choice. Panna cotta too sweet for me and cheeps too soft
