The Best Spots to Enjoy a TT Pint

It’s that time of the year again, when the Isle of Man comes to life with the sound of thousands of roaring bike engines, from 25th May - 7th June.

But, as we all know, the TT is not just about racing, it’s about basking in a bit of sunshine (hopefully), taking in the atmosphere and having a pint or two. We’re blessed with 37.73 miles (to be exact) of TT course to watch the bikes from…so we’ve put together a few of our fave spots to watch the Senior Races this TT. Why not try one out...?

  • A fabulous Irish pub with plenty of charm, regular live music and a warm welcome. The Guinness is exceptional and the Irish hospitality second to none.

  • Quaint, cosy and full of charm from a bygone era. ‘The Glue Pot’ as it is far better known sits right on the harbour in Castletown and is literally a stone’s throw from Castle Rushen.

  • Whether you’re after a delicious meal with the family, a wide variety of ales and spirits or simply somewhere to watch a football game, the Cat is the place for you.

  • With locally brewed Okell's ales and up to 10 ever-changing guest beers available all year round, The Creek Inn is a Real Ale drinkers paradise, a Cask Marque pub and an active CAMRA supporter.

  • This pub is famous for its position on one of the most exciting parts of the Isle of Man TT track and really comes to life during the month of the TT. Throughout the year it has a fantastic meal and bar snack option along with real ales.

  • The Mines is a little Manx gem close by the Laxey tram station. There is an overwhelming feel of belonging when you enter this pub, like you want to snuggle in for the day and become part of the furniture.

  • The oldest pub on the Island. It’s wonderfully quaint with a double helping of old-fashioned hospitality…

  • Oscar’s is the new revered destination in the heart of Douglas. Set over two floors, Oscar’s is a restaurant and bar offering the very best food and drink in an elegant and refined setting.

  • There is lovely warm atmosphere and you really feel like you could settle in for the day quite happily. This is a fantastic pub to watch the TT races from.

  • The Sulby Glen Hotel is situated on one of the fastest points of the world famous TT Course. The Sulby Glen Hotel is home to the Manx Grand Prix Supporters Club and the MGP Rescue Helicopter Fund.

  • Recently refreshed The Swan is a family-friendly pub with a well-earned reputation for serving good home-cooked food. Located on Parliament Square, the pub offers inviting surroundings and an equally charming welcome.

  • With three bars including a fabulously quirky Gents Bar and a large pool room, The Woodbourne is the Number One Cask Ale Pub in the Isle of Man and won CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2015.
