stayed close by for 6 nights in march 2014. The staff were warm and friendly. The food was excellently cooked home food at unbelievable prices and pudding like your Grandma use to make. We will be coming back to this area and will not be looking for anywhere else to eat.

I nice little old time traditional pub, set in stunning walking hills. A little tired from the outside, though welcoming inside. Pleasant welcoming staff and locals too. Food though basic earthy cuisine is fine for those that have either been walking all day or for those who prefer non fussy regular food. Very good value. Good beers and decent cider on draught. Landlady delightful. Also on show is a local cabinet makers very interesting pieces throughout the pub. Thanks for the experience.
