The Newcastle packet is a must place to try if visiting Scarborough. It is one of Scarboroughs oldest public houses and also has the areas longest serving landlady Kath Duffy. You Are always sure of a warm welcome with its historic features and log burning stove. Karaoke is on every weekend throughout the year and caters for holiday makers aswell as locals. Live bands on during the holiday season every Friday and Saturday evening but be early if you require a seat. Karaoke is on Saturday afternoon til 8pm, Sunday from opening til closing and every Thursday evening 8pm til close. It has the largest selction of songs available with up to date sound system. Karaoke is also available at selected times outside of these times advertised throughout the season.

Oh we were well and truly treated to the karaoke when we visited! I have never drunk a vodka and lemonade from a half pint glass so quick nor have I ever looked for a seat so close to the door so I could get out of there quickly in my life. Wow I've drunk in some places in my time but this was an eye opener, enjoy your visit folks lol
Cracker of a pub. Went to scarborough for the weekend with 6 other friends. Popped in as it was the closest pub and had a cracker of a time. Great staff, friendly locals and even culinary delights such as nuts and crisps! Will be back in the future! Went in fancy dress one night and couldn’t have been better received
Let's just say the place is unique.. £9.90 for 2 vodka n lemonades served in half pint fosters glass plenty choice of dirty seats but on plus side you get to stay longer as you stick to them. First time visit and last Couldn't get out quick enough oh and don't worry about spills ya glass is firmly stuck to dirty tables
Just about the only place on the South Beach where you can grab a pint - reasonable prices, but the decor and seating is very worn and tired. We popped in early doors for a quick pint and thankfully weren’t treated to the evening karaoke! Had the misfortune to visit the toilet on site and please be warned: it was most possibly the most stinky and unhygienic Gents I have ever been in, really horrid nearly made me throw up
A proper pub that made a pretty big bunch of us more than welcome!! Cracking hardworking staff she was aswell, didnt catch her name though but she soliderd on and served each ad everyone of us with a smile 😊
