Large single roomed pub on the outskirts of Beverley serving the local community. Up to eight real ales complement the home cooked menu. The Young at Heart club meets 2-4pm on Monday and Thursday with various other community groups and events taking place throughout the week. The licensee has received local CAMRA awards for their commitment to real ale.
Open at 10am on Saturday for breakfast.

The highfield is a modern pub. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a good range of beers, lagers, and cider available, including two cask conditioned hand pulled real ales on when I visited, which were in excellent condition. It's a nice comfortable pub. The L shaped room has a pool table in the bar area. There are a lot of events going on here during the week, including live music at the weekend. Well-behaved dogs are welcome. If the pub is nicely decorated and comfortable, there is a large free car park. It's a really nice pub.
A very pleasant pub, with polite helpful staff, quick accurate service. Very well kept beer. I didn't eat, but the food being served looked wholesome.
Food was decent,but service was poor and had untrained staff at the bar. Yes they was very apologetic, but our friends food arrived our food was nowhere insight. We had to wait a whole half an hour before our food but inbetween our food coming out and another table there was a table of 4 who ordered food after us and the other table. Got food first before us which in my eyes makes no sense.
Honestly mine and my family’s experience was great. The food was unbelievably amazing, everything homemade and delicious. The feel of the pub was cleanly and friendly where we were made to feel welcome the whole time. We will most definitely be returning! Thanks :)
Went for food 18th October 2022 with my son. We had the signature desperados nacho burger and the 8oz rump steak. Food was amazing. Steak cooked to perfection. The burger was also really good. Excellent value for money. Lovely atmosphere. Bar staff member really friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to everyone. A**** 👍😁
