In 1759, Arthur Guinness signed a 9000 year lease on the site of St. James Gate brewery in Dublin. This was the birth of the legacy of Guinness as you know it.
Today, over 10 million glasses of Guinness are enjoyed every day, all over the world.
Swirling clouds tumble as the storm begins to calm. Settle. Breathe in the moment, then break through the smooth, light head to the bittersweet reward. Unmistakeably GUINNESS®, from the first velvet sip to the last, lingering drop. And every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between.
Pure beauty. Pure GUINNESS®
Quality pint on a great Friday night!

I live in a close beside the Ashton and my fellow neighbours and I suffer greatly from this. They moved kegs of beer around our close at about 8am every morning and at night around 11:30pm think it's a good time to dispose of their glass bottles this noise echoes right through our close to the point me and a few resident are know using ear plugs to dim the noise a little! What a joke ehh? Can't even get a peaceful night sleep in your own home after you have been working hard all week. They have been sent letters by a few of us but nothing ever seems to change in other words they simply don't care! Which is very said for a local business not to treat their neighbours with a little respect. The sad thing is these things don't have to been done at such bizarre time and could be done during the day when most people are awake but sadly every night and morning my daughter will still be awoken by these shuttering noises as this pub clearly only thinks about themselves.

If you love music, then Bar XLR is the place to be! Open Mic on Wednesday's, Karaoke on Thursdays and Sundays (and also first Friday of each month), live music on Fridays! The quality of the sound is awesome, as is the quality of karaoke singers!

Came here tonight for a drink.
My glass was filthy, so much dried on lipstick and stains on the glass. I took the drink back, no apology!
I went to the loo and found brown stains around the bowl and seat, but best of all!!! No soap to wash my hands. I'm glad I didn't eat here, god only knows what that woul be like

We went there for lunch on Saturday, welcomed by Charlotte who was professional and made us feel like we were at home, she took our orders and engaged in conversation with my parents. We picked up my boyfriend and by the time we got back lunch was done. Oh my God, Matthew Barnes' Burger and chips were amazing! The scenic views outside were beautiful and inside was equally as amazing. Whilst in Construction Jacob had said on his visits it felt like home.....it definitely did. Thank you Sue and Matt for a wonderful lunch and congratulations on your pub being a huge hit. Tasha x
