Just done 5 nights here and it’s been good. The Hotel, whilst it needs some updating is spotless and the rooms are cleaned daily. There has been one particular member of staff who is totally worthy of mentioning and that is EJ in the bar. His dedication and manner is absolutely superb, if he’s not a manager, he should be because his perfection, knowledge of drinks, banter is just perfect. Also, whoever cleans my room on the 6th floor needs a mention, spotless. A great stay.

Friendly welcome on arrival. Hotel looked immaculate. Our room was on the 6th floor. 659. Room size good and comfortable bed. Net curtains grubby and torn in places. Bathroom good size and lovely to have a bath. Shower head.... dreadful... looked broken and several tiles on the floor had cracks in them and we're loose. Needs an update! Have stayed in different rooms in this lovely hotel that were in much better condition. Staff were great.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, well-equipped rooms. Great location just off the end of the M1; 15-minute walk to nearest tube, then 20 minutes into central London; can't book parking, but has been fine on both occasions I've stayed there (£20 a night -- if you can win the fight with the NCP app, but the hotel very kindly stepped in a took payment directly). Fine service, friendly, courteous and efficient. Good breakfast.

Just got back from an 8 day stay and this hotel was a disappointment. The outside and inside the lobby are beautiful. The room was shabby with old stained carpets and bed bases as well as a broken bed. The bathroom sink would stop up, there was mold on the ceiling, and there was no bath mat provided for a very slippery tub,, even though there was a clear sign in the bathroom that there should be one and when we asked for one, we never got it. The room didn't get vacuumed everyday but they would make our beds almost everyday, wipe down the bathroom and leave us extra towels and take out the rubbish. Thank goodness the rooms ac worked. Nobody ever answers the phone at the front desk so you always had to leave the room which wasn't always convenient. The only amenity was an old broken hair dryer which was plugged in inside a drawer which, to me, was to prevent it from getting stolen. Though they did give us another. The sink was also fixed halfway through our stay and the broken bed was replaced on day 7 so at least that's something. The maintenence man was friendly and knowledgeable. The front desk staff was nice but the place isn't well maintained and managers listen to complaints with a deaf ear which is no way to deal with the problem. With some upkeep, it could be a 4 star place but as it is now, I would only rate it 2 star.

They should close the place down! Lifts out of order, directions from the receptionist to use the staircase following a maze of fire exits, carrying my luggage at the same time to make a huge round and end up to the reception again! Took 20 minutes to finally reach the room. A massive room that had 2 double beds, a sofa, a table and windows all around. It sounds lovely right? Well it was a booking for one person(!) and the a/c was not working! Both mattresses harder that the floor and the duvets thinner than a piece of paper. Drawers falling apart, half of the lights not working, TV control had the batteries taped (not working either). Couldn't being bothered to ask for another room as I was there just for one night. Leaving my card key at the reception in the morning, the two young ladies didn't miss a beat of their chatting when I greeted them, like I was invisible. Don't get distracted from the nice lobby, just turn around and leave! I wish I had the no stars option!
