A one-bar Victorian hotel very near the railway and country bus stations with a flamboyant but unspoilt frontage. Some of its earlier customers are captured in the autobiographical stories of local playwright Alick Rowe entitled 'Boy at the Commercial'. A good local following in a traditional pub. No admission after 11pm. Ploughmans lunch served weekdays, roast on Sunday. DJ on Saturdays.
What a great pub! Dan the bar manager is a legend! We missed a few trains back home to London as the craic was class!!!
A bit more of a rough and ready place... but fun if you're willing to look past the hard exterior of the dudes who tell you they've just got out of gloucester prison 😂 none the less, full of interesting characters and a pool table.
We held a wake there. The manger was so helpful and friendly. Nothing was to much trouble. Made to feel welcomed 😃
I went here on my own and the manager was friendly. The staff make you feel welcome. Great smoking garden, good selection of drinks but some real ale would be good to see there, just a suggestion. Two pool tables, dart board and some gambling machines. Might not be a noteworthy pub but certainly a nice place compared to some places in Hereford.
Fun pub, friendly bar staff, selection of TVs for your favourite sports plus pool tables and dart boards. I spent most of the World Cup in here. Plus they allow dogs in!
