Beautiful building in a beautiful location. Unfortunately we had one of the worst views possible, see photo, and although the room itself was big and clean, the toiletries were bare minimum, no shampoo and only one small body wash for 2 people. There was no blow dryer either, but when we asked, we were given one. The water in the shower was either cold or freezing cold, but the water pressure was excellent. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were rock hard. The TV wasn't a smart TV either. Our trip to the spa was very much the same; the massage itself was excellent, maybe even the best massage I've ever had but the facilities were dingy, out of date and we weren't offered robes or slippers, even though tge receptionist on the front desk said we would be. And we had to walk through the small, sweaty gym, full of residents using it in order to get to the treatment rooms where we got our massages. There was no relaxation lounge after and didn't feel like a spa at all really, more of an after thought, which is a shame as the setting is so beautiful that it has the potential to be really amazing. We had dinner in the nice restaurant and were given chewy breadsticks for starters, but the main dishes were good. After we ate, we sat for almost a half hour waiting for the waitress to bring our bill. All in all, I enjoyed my stay but was disappointed that it could have been better if the hotel had done the little things.
A great base for planning walking trips in the lakes. Nice clean swimming pool and steam room to relax at the end of the day. Gym looked good and well equipped but never had chance to use it. Breakfast i couldnt fault was great. The evening dinner menu was to expensive for what you got. Dishes looked good but lacked seasoning and were blande. Hotel overall was great and staff were friendly
Went for a work gathering so I didn't stay overnight. However the function suite was great. It was comfortable, clean and just the right temperature. The food which was provided was excellent. A great selection all of which was really tasty. The staff were really helpful. The only slight niggle is that it was a little confusing to locate the reception. Maybe have slightly better signage. Otherwise all was good.
All members of staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome. Our dinner in the Greenhouse exceeded our expectations, delicious food and attentive service, all in all a memorable evening. Our room had an exceptionally comfortable double bed, we have seldom slept so well. Thank you for a great stay.
Nice hotel conveniently located for the lakes. Best parts were the buffet breakfast- lots of really good quality options, including buffet and made to order items, nice jams, pastries yogurt and real fresh fruit! Staff very friendly and attentive. The gym was also great, really large and well equipped for a hotel gym, didn't use the pool but it looked nice and had a steam room. Rooms were clean and well kept but a little on the small side, bathrooms Nd shower particularly small. Overall a good place to stay!
