Open for dinner every evening as well as lunch on the weekend with a traditional British roast on Sundays (Best Sunday Roast, South London - TimeOut 2014).
In a quiet residential street not far from Clapham Common, Bobbin is an appealing neighbourhood gastropub. there's a handsome yet cosy front room with blue painted walls, tartan-backed banquettes, golf framed mirrors, and globe lights above the bar; an airy conservatory at the rear and a pretty little walled garden. It offers a changing rota of proper ales (perhaps St Austell Tribute or something from Sambrook's) and good wines by the glass. Fresh flowers decorate the bar, there are a couple of real fires, and service is sunny. You can come here just for a pint or a coffee, but the food is the main focus, with typical gastropub dishes done well. A ribeye steak was well hung, tender and grilled rare, as requested; chips were of the chunky, skin-on type; salsa verde added kick. The vegetarian options are unusually well considered, including beetroot risotto in small or main-course sizes, and potato gnocchi doused in rich gorgonzola sauce and liberally garnished with pine nuts and parmesan. Tempting desserts include sticky toffee pudding with ginger ice-cream
