The Black Lion is an iconic London pub on the north bank of the River Thames between Hammersmith and Chiswick.
History abounds at this wonderful pub – ghost stories, local history and what 'The Black Lion' really meant, made famous in literature and the location of a world famous skittle alley.
Now revitalised with the help of the silver fern and that 'famous All Black' Buzz Cousins – The Black Lion maintains all that is glorious about a modern English pub – superb ales and wines, great food and a lot of fun. It is also a home for rugby banter and exiled kiwis.

We stopped here on our way back from the Fuller's brewery, a nice place next to the river with a huge terrace and lots of outdoor tables. We enjoyed our pints here, nice atmosphere, calm and relaxing.
I can highly recommend visiting The Black Lion. Service was really great and you can see that managers of this place try to create a unique atmosphere where everybody can feel good. The food was really tasty and fresh, perfect place for beer with friends and Sunday Roast as well.

The place has a huge terrace, perfect for the sunny days. The food is delicious and the portions are big. You need to go to the bar to order but even in a busy hour wasn't that much queue, they are quick and attentive. The waiter was so kind and the food was serve quickly.
